Offline playback
Media and the next 24 hours of schedule cached on the device, so a dropped connection never blanks a screen. The single most requested capability, and the one that unlocks transit and vehicle networks.
Upload once and schedule by location, daypart or group. See exactly what is playing on every display, live. No agency, no support ticket, no waiting for someone else to change your content.
Optional: when you want it, programmatic ads can fill the slots you have not used — and you keep control of what runs.

The player is a web application, so any device with a modern browser becomes a ScreenRoll
screen — a smart TV, an Android stick, a mini-PC. Samsung Tizen also has a packaged app
you install from a .wgt file. No hardware to replace.
Native App means a packaged player you install on the device. Web Player means ScreenRoll runs in that platform's browser or webview — the same player, no installation step. Both receive the same schedules and report the same telemetry.
Published openly, because you are choosing a platform for years, not for a demo. Everything below is committed and dated. Everything on the rest of this page works today.

A signed, downloadable report of exactly what played, where and when — the document an advertiser needs before they release payment. Telemetry is already collected; this turns it into an auditable export.
Email and webhook alerts when a screen stops reporting, plus an on-demand capture of what a display is showing right now. Answers "is it actually on?" without sending someone to the site.
Installable players with watchdog restart and silent auto-update, so a rebooted device comes back to content on its own. Today those platforms run the web player in a browser.
Push a message to every screen in a location, group or the whole network immediately, then fall back to the normal schedule. For safety notices, closures and flash promotions.
Franchisees and agencies submit; the brand owner approves before anything reaches a screen. Turns delegated access into safe delegated access.
Drive playlists from your own systems — POS, ERP, booking — and receive events when screens change state. The integration layer partners keep asking for.
Beyond VAST tag insertion: exposing your inventory as bidder supply so demand competes per impression. The step from "ads can play" to "ads are auctioned".
Building a network that depends on one of these? Tell us in the sign-up form — committed pilots move items up this list.
A VAST tag is a playlist item like any other. When it comes up in the rotation the player calls the ad server, follows any wrapper redirects, plays the creative it gets back, and fires the tracking beacons. Point it at your own advertisers, an exchange, or Admixer's demand — the screen keeps running either way.
Volume discounts apply automatically as your screen network expands.
Set up your ScreenRoll account in less than 2 minutes. Start your 14-day free trial with up to 5 screens included.
The things operators ask on the first call — answered without the sales detour.
You build a playlist from your media, then attach it to a schedule with a time window and the days of week it should run. That schedule can target one screen, a whole location, or a group of locations — so a promotion can go live across forty stores at 09:00 on weekdays without touching each screen. Screens with multi-zone layouts can run a different playlist in each zone.
The ScreenRoll player is a web application, so it runs on any modern browser: a smart
TV's built-in browser, an Android media stick, a Linux or Windows mini-PC. Samsung Tizen
additionally has a packaged player app you can install from a
.wgt file. You do not need to replace existing screens
to start.
Pricing is per screen per month with volume tiers: $12 per screen for 1–5 screens, $10 for 6–20, $8 for 21–50, and custom pricing above 50. Programmatic ad support is an optional $15/month add-on per VAST URL. Users, playlists and schedules are unlimited on every plan.
Yes — 14 days with up to 5 screens, no payment card required. That is enough to run a real pilot in one venue before committing.
You add a VAST ad tag as a playlist item alongside your own content. When that item comes up in the rotation the player requests an ad, plays the returned video creative and fires the standard impression and quartile tracking beacons. Slots you have not sold to your own advertisers can therefore return revenue instead of running filler.
Yes. Alongside the publisher administrator you can create Manager accounts with per-section view and edit permissions, covering locations, screens, groups, media, playlists, schedules and analytics. The publisher administrator grants these directly, without contacting support.
DOOH stands for Digital Out-of-Home: advertising shown on digital screens in public and commercial spaces such as shops, gyms, malls, clinics and transport. Programmatic DOOH means those ad slots are bought and sold automatically through ad exchanges rather than by manual insertion order.
