- You run Fire TV sticks, BrightSign, LG webOS or Raspberry Pi: Yodeck lists all of them; ScreenRoll does not yet.
- You want the player hardware thrown in: Yodeck's annual plans include one.
- Your venues lose internet for weeks at a time: Yodeck caches for up to 35 days, ScreenRoll for seven.
- You have under ten paid screens and no interest in advertising: Yodeck Basic is $8 to ScreenRoll's $12.
Where ScreenRoll is the better choice
- You do not want an annual plan: ScreenRoll bills monthly, in arrears, for the days a screen existed.
- You want the free screen to be the real product: every feature, no watermark.
- You want the screens to earn: advertising is built in, with the rates and payout terms published.
- You run 30 screens or more: both are $8 a screen, and ScreenRoll has no annual term.

Do I need a player box with either?
No. Both run on a Samsung Tizen TV and on Windows without one. Yodeck also lists Fire TV, BrightSign, LG webOS and Raspberry Pi; ScreenRoll runs on any TV that has a browser.
