Common questions

The ones support answers most often, with a pointer to the longer answer.

Do I need to install anything?
No. The television's own browser at cms.screenroll.live/tv is enough. An app adds autostart and kiosk mode — see Player apps.
What happens when the internet goes down?
The screen keeps playing from its own disk, and keeps every play to report later. Advertising slots fall through to your own content, because an auction cannot run. Inside the player.
How quickly does a change reach a screen?
Within about a minute, applied at the end of the current loop so nobody sees a half-played video. The Rollout figure shows how far a change has actually reached.
Can I run one screen for free?
Yes, permanently. The first screen costs nothing — it is not a trial. Billing.
Do I have to sell advertising?
No. A network that never switches it on works exactly as described everywhere else; the Monetization pages simply stay empty.
Who decides which adverts appear?
You do, in advance. Nothing reaches your glass until you have approved that advertiser. The review queue.
Why does my four-panel wall report four times the plays?
Because four panels lit up. Plays is playbacks × panels. Compare walls with single screens on Impressions or Revenue instead. What the numbers mean.
Can two people work on the account?
Yes, with access granted page by page and separately for viewing and editing. Your team and who sees what.
A screen says it is offline but it is playing. Which is true?
Both. Some networks block the reporting connection while allowing everything else. The screen plays perfectly and reads as offline. Reading the diagnostics panel tells them apart.
Still stuck?
Email ask@screenroll.live. If it is about one screen, a photograph of its diagnostics panel answers the first three questions we would otherwise have to ask.
Try it on a screen you already own. The first screen is free, for as long as you like. No card.
